Lodging an Application
To help you determine whether you need planning approval, building approval or both, please call our Development Team to discuss your project.
A pre-lodgement meeting is a free meeting between prospective applicants and Council's Development team to discuss a development proposal prior to the formal lodgement of an application with Council. It provides a prospective applicant the opportunity to discuss and receive feedback from Council on any constraints or concerns about their development proposal.
Giving Council an assessment-ready application, with all required information will not 'guarantee' approval - however, it will promote an efficient process, saving time and money, for both you and Council.

Building approval can be obtained either from Council or Private Certification.
When submitting a building application the application must consist of the following:
- DA Form 2 - Building work details
- Plans (including site plan, floor plan and elevations)
- Application Fee (Fees and Charges Schedule)
- QBCC Insurance (if applicable)
- Q Levy (if applicable)
