  • The Facilities Co-ordinator is responsible for monitoring, inspecting and maintaining Council facilities, development and delivery of capital & operational projects, budgeting, work scheduling and reporting. Tasks include identifying and prioritising work, conducting onsite inspections, responding to requests for service, contractor management, procurement administration, coordination of works and ensuring requirements of inspections are met.

  • The Project Engineer is a newly created position within Balonne Shire Council's Infrastructure Services team reporting to the Manager Transport Infrastructure.

    The Project Engineer will provide specialist engineering, construction management and contract administration expertise in the delivery of road and drainage infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) assisting in the management of the Road Maintenance Performance Contract (RMPC), Sole Invitee Contracts and preparation of Tenders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical expertise in contract administration for road infrastructure construction and administer contracts in the delivery of Civil Works projects.
    • Manage Council's day-to-day construction works and programs for roads and Department of Transport & Main Roads contract works.
    • Assist in planning, managing, and providing leadership, including coordination of operations and performance.
    • Prepare periodic reports to monitor safety, expenditure, quality, environment, stakeholder engagement, customer service and other performance requirements.
    • Assist in the preparation of progress claims and payment.
