Mungindi Riverside Camping Area Closed

The Barwon River Camp Area at Mungindi has been closed due to rising water.

This is a basic camping area and playpark on the north bank of the Barwon River and water has entered the lower section.

Water is expected to continue rising in coming days as floodwaters from upper reaches of this extensive river system move downstream.

Note: Campers and caravanners will find sites available at the nearby Mungindi Caravan Park in George Street (on the New South Wales side of the river). The telephone number is 0409 484 014.
