Council would like to inform Balonne Shire residents and visitors of the following events happening around the Shire on ANZAC Day, Thursday 25 April.
ST GEORGE
DAWN SERVICE | 5:45AM
5:45am Assemble at Cenotaph.
6am Commence Dawn Service.
7am Gunfire Breakfast at Australian Hotel.
CEMETERY SERVICE | 9AM
Laying flowers on graves of ex-service personnel and short service at St George Cemetery.
WAR MEMORIAL SERVICE | 9:30AM
Service at the St George Hospital War Memorial.
ANZAC DAY MARCH | 10:30AM
10:30am Muster for March at corner of Henry St and St George's Terrace.
10:45am March leaves for Cenotaph.
11am Service at Cenotaph on St George's Terrace.
THALLON
DAWN SERVICE | 6AM
6am Commence Dawn Service.
7am Gunfire Breakfast at Hotel Francis.
ANZAC DAY MARCH | 9AM
9am March to memorial & Anzac Service
BOLLON
DAWN SERVICE | 5:55AM
Walter Austin Park War Memorial.
ANZAC DAY PARADE | 9AM
9am Parade from Bollon State School
DIRRANBANDI
ANZAC DAY MARCH | 9:30AM
March commences at the Dirranbandi Post Office.
SERVICE AT RSL HALL | 10AM
10am Service at RSL Hall, lunch to follow
MUNGINDI
DAWN SERVICE | 5:45AM
A dawn service will be held at the Mungindi RSL Cenotaph
ANZAC DAY MARCH | 10:45AM
The march will start and finish in front of the RSL cenotaph and will be followed by a commemoration service.
