We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead the delivery of contemporary HR services across the Council.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner with leaders to drive workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, industrial relations, payroll oversight, employee wellbeing and organisational culture initiatives. This is an opportunity to influence strategic workforce outcomes while remaining hands-on in delivering practical, people-focused HR solutions.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional who combines sound strategic thinking with strong operational capability. You enjoy building relationships, supporting leaders and driving continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will have:
- Qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience across strategic and operational HR functions
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial relations
- Experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations and policy development
- Sound understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
- Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Drivers Licence
Attractive Remuneration Package
- Cash package of $147,000, including a $17,000 p.a. motor vehicle allowance, plus 13.5% superannuation
- Council owned accommodation available at nominal rent, with salary sacrifice options
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 13 weeks long service leave after 10 years of service
