The Balonne Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) remains at ALERT status with the welcomed inflows coming down the Condamine Balonne river system and Maranoa River. Beardmore Dam is at 100.42% and gates are open at both the Dam and the Jack Taylor Weir, St George.
The Bureau of Meteorology have issued a Minor flood warning for the Balonne River at St George (6m) with further updates expected daily. The Balonne River at the Whyenbah gauge is at minor flood level 3.5m and rising.
The Whyenbah Road is closed between St George and Dirranbandi. Road conditions are updated on Council’s emergency dashboard. Remember, if it's flooded forget it.
Recreational users of the Balonne River should be aware that the river will be moving fast as the gates at Beardmore Dam and then Jack Taylor Weir are open over the coming days.
