Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before entering the competition. By entering you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions, and you agree to be bound by them.

  1. This promotion is organised by the Balonne Shire Council, 114 Victoria Street, St George, QLD 4487; ABN 49 655 876 831 (“Promoter”).

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

Competition Entry Details:

  1. Participants may be visitors or Balonne Shire residents, but must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. The competition commences at 12:00am on 21 August 2022 AEST and ends at 11:59am on 28 August 2022 AEST, (Promotion Period).
  3. How it works:
  • Participants will receive an “Eat the Week Passport” from Participating Businesses.
  • Each time a participant orders one “Flavours of the Balonne” special menu item (“Multicultural Menu Item”) they will receive one stamp.
  • Once the participant has received five (5) stamps, they can enter the draw to win a Buy Balonne Gift card by leaving the completed card with any participating business.
  • Participants must add their name and contact details to the card for their entry to be valid.
  • The three winning entries will be drawn by secret ballot on September 5, 2022 by the Promoter.
  1. There is no limit to the number of Eat the Week Passports a participant can receive and complete. 

Prize Details

  1. First place is one (1) Buy Balonne Gift Card valued at $150; Second place is one (1) Buy Balonne Gift Card valued at $100; and Third place is one (1) Buy Balonne Gift Card valued at $50.
  2. The Buy Balonne Gift Card is only redeemable at nominated businesses within the Balonne Shire
  3. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to redeem the By Balonne gift card by following the instructions for each operator
  4. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

Additional Terms & Conditions

  1. Balonne Shire Council accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize or any variation in the prize advertised and the prize provided. Each entrant releases and indemnifies Balonne Shire Council against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
  2. Balonne Shire Council Councillors, Senior Leadership Group and Communities staff members are ineligible to enter the draw to receive a prize, however are encouraged to purchase flavours from participating businesses.
  3. Owners and Employees of participating businesses are unable to receive a prize for purchasing flavours from their respective business however are eligible to enter the draw if purchase flavours from other participating businesses.
  4. Prize will be recorded.
  5. By claiming the prize, the winner accepts that Balonne Shire Council may use their name and photograph for their promotional and publicity purposes.
