Carnarvon Hwy reopened in Balonne Shire

Carnarvon Hwy from St George to Mungindi has reopened to traffic.

However, there may be water over parts of the road and drivers are advised to exercise caution.

With more flooding expected at Mungindi by 7 April 2021 (one week from today), future road closures are possible.

Mungindi residents are advised to restock essential supplies while Carnarvon Hwy remains open.
