Balonne Shire Council Reissue Rates Notices

Balonne Shire Council have advised that they have reissued the February rates notices to all ratepayers. The Director Finance & Corporate Services, Michelle Clarke said that the rates were reissued once an error had been detected, which has caused some confusion over the rates due date.

“We have taken immediate action to ensure all ratepayers are advised in the most efficient way possible and to ensure they do not miss out on the 10% discount”, said Mrs Clarke. “Notices will be reissued with a revised due date, providing a discount period up to 5pm on 26 March 2021.”

Ratepayers who have already paid will not be required to do anything. Ratepayers who have not paid, will need to pay their rates before 5pm on 26th March to be eligible for the 10% discount. Balonne Shire Council apologises for any inconvenience or confusion caused by the error.
