Works On Cubbie And Whyenbah Roads To Begin Next Week

The Balonne Shire Council is about to carry out works on Cubbie Road and Whyenbah Road.

The works will be carried out from 6am to 6pm commencing on Monday 24th August 2020, weather permitting.

Work will be undertaken on weekdays and it is expected to conclude by Monday 31st November 2020.

For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place while the works are carried out.

This will include reducing the road to single lane operation under the coordination of traffic controllers during work hours and temporary speed limit reductions

These works - which are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) - will restore the road surface following the South West Queensland flooding in February 2020.
