Local Laws help communities to be more liveable spaces by regulating certain behaviours, such as explaining the types and numbers of animals that can be kept within a town area.
We establish Local Laws under the power of the Local Government Act 2009.
Council, on 18 October 2018, adopted new Local Laws which have now been introduced.
Council will undertake a community education campaign to ensure residents understand the new laws.
The new laws (listed below) are also available from our office once approved by the Queensland Minister for Local Government.
If you want to know more or have a question about the new Local Laws please contact our Environmental Health Officer on phone: (07) 4620 8888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
