Garbage Collection

A weekly kerbside collection of recyclable materials along with household garbage in the "All-in-One Wheelie" is operating in the towns of St George, Dirranbandi, Thallon and Bollon. A divided 240 litre wheelie bin is supplied to each premises. The large section at the front of the bin is for general waste while the smaller section at the back is for recyclable material. Items suitable for recycling are glass bottles and jars, aluminium cans, milk and fruit juice cartons, steel cans, and plastic. Please note Council does not currently have the capacity to recycle paper.

It is vital that you do not put any product other than material which can be recycled into the back section of the bin. Placing non-recyclable material there may cause problems with the recycling machinery.

Collection days are as follows:

Tuesday
St George Town on north side of Grey Street
Wednesday
Townships of Thallon and Bollon
Thursday
Township of Dirranbandi
Friday
St George Town on south side of Grey Street

Please have your bin out next to the kerb by 6.00am on the day of collection with the front facing the roadway as depicted.
