Nominations for the 2010 Balonne Shire Council Australia Day Awards are now open. The awards recognise the efforts of those who have made noteworthy contributions or given outstanding service to the community. Nominations are open in the categories of:
- Citizen of the Year (Junior and Senior)
- Sports Achievement Award (Junior, Senior and Sport Admistrator)
- Community Event of the Year
- Cultural Award (Junior and Senior)
All nominations must meet the selection criteria outlined in the Nomination Guidelines. Follow the links above to download an application form and return it to Council by 4.00pm 20th November, 2009. Award winners will be announced at a celebration on Australia Day 26th January, 2010.
