2009 is our 5th year of racing piglets and we hope with your help and attendance to make it bigger and better than ever, last year saw nearly 600 people support us and we hope all return plus more. In the past 5 years Cow Wilson and friends, the Nindigully Pub staff and people like you have helped raise over $17500 for RFDS, last year we raised a record $6500 this year we hope for over $7500.
Last and never least for your pleasure and our sour friend and professional pyrotechnician Warren Ritchie from Fireworks Down under will light up the beautiful night sky at app 8pm with a show you will remember.
FACILITIES
Well we are in the bush (edge of the outback) but we really don’t miss out on much, 550 km east of Brisbane, 200ks south Roma and 200 km north of Moree, so yes we do have hot showers and cold toilets available at the pub free of charge always and we have heaps of camping and caravan (unpowered) spots along our beautiful tree lined and water filled Moonie River where you can swim, fish and trap yabbies at your leisure anytime for free. At the pub always we have qualified chefs on staff and have beautiful fresh meals available 7 days a week (the biggest and best 1 kilo plus T bone in Aust) and recently launched the challenge for the biggest hamburger in Australia with our now famous 5 kilo plus Road train Burger for under $40 (it feeds min of 4 adults), if you eat the t bone and chew the bone on your own you get a free pot of beer if you eat the road train burger on your own you get a free keg of beer, we were voted best country pub in Australia by 4x4 Australia magazine in 2006 and we have got better. If you don’t want to camp St George is only 45klms away (25mins) and has wonderful motel rooms in total as well as 3 caravan parks and full town facilities.
