Have your say on future of St George Library
Residents from across Balonne Shire are being asked to have their say on future uses of the St George Library.
A short survey has been created to record suggestions and gauge how the library is being used now.
Mayor Richard Marsh urged residents to take the time to fill out the survey which would help shape the future of the St George Library and ensure it addressed the needs of the community.
“It only takes a few minutes to fill out, but will provide Council with information which will help us understand what our community wants and how people want to use the library,” he said.
“We want to know your thoughts about how to redevelop the library space – even if you are not a regular user.”
Cr Marsh said some of possible uses for the redeveloped library could include a maker’s space, training facilities, hot desk for visiting businesses, study nook for students, meeting rooms and technology spaces.
The survey is available on Council’s website, Facebook page or in hard copy from the Council Chambers and Libraries. The survey will close on 18 January 2019.
